For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 2 Corinthians 4: 17
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if everyone had complete faith and trust in God? We need the kind of faith that Job exhibited when going through trial after trial, each one getting worse, but yet he held firm to his love and faith in God! Instead of blaming God for all his troubles, he declared in Job 1: 21, “The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.” Wow! That is real trust and faith! Sometimes our problems are the direct result of our own human mistakes, while other times we suffer at the hand of others. Whatever the reason—we need to take our burdens to the Lord and trust Him to know what to do. We cannot see the end from the beginning, but God can! He knows how much we can handle and promises not to give us more than we can bear. Many times when we are experiencing pain and heartache, we think God has deserted us—but that’s not true. It is during the bad times that God is the closest. Just like refining gold in the fire, He is preparing us for eternity with Him—we need only trust Him more!
