it reminded me that it’s not what I have but how I use what I have and how much I believe in what I can do with it. When I lived in Raleigh North Carolina I met a mixed group of folks from Africa. Some of the them were from Kenya, some were from the Republic of Congo and others were from different parts of West Africa.

While I was there it became clear to me that though many countries look down on refugees (which some of them were) a lot of folks with their limited resources, were very happy. Out of the time spent with them, the concept series MAISHA was born. The name MAISHA means life in Swahili. My question in these stories is what is life really?? Is it the sum of our actions or is the love we find along the way?
