“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20: 35

In today’s world, it seems we just can’t escape bad news! It doesn’t matter which television station you go to, every news channel tells of one horrific story after another—a fatal car accident, devastating fire, murder, drug overdose, school massacre, and the list goes on and on. Unfortunately, we live in a sinful world where there is pain and suffering, and no matter how much we want a perfect world—it’s not going to get better until Jesus comes and sin is destroyed forever! That’s why we need to passionately pray for one another and support each another, not only through our prayers, but also by our actions. Jesus set an example here on earth when He said in Matthew 5: 3 , “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Get involved! Give of your time to help someone else. Ask God to show you who He wants you to help today! And even in your prayer time, spend more time praying for others than you do for yourself. When you do, you’ll receive showers of blessings! The more you give, the more you will receive! The best blessing of all is the incredible joy that will fill your heart when you allow God to shine through you. It’s the best feeling in the world!
