When we face temptations we must realize one of two truths – either we’re facing this temptation because we purposefully placed ourselves in a situation where we knew temptation laid, or we’re facing temptation because the devil wants us to sin. While sin is the devil’s objective for us in both instances – understanding why we’re facing our problem allows us to handle it properly.
Too often people complain when they face situations, yet the issues they’re facing are contrived because of their direct disobedience to God’s word and law.
If we fall into that first category, we need to admit that fact when we talk with the Lord – humble ourselves and then follow his guidance. That, friend, is the only way out of ALL temptations. No matter how we find ourselves there. God’s promise to us is that in all temptations he’s made a way for us to deal and get through – that’s a promise from God who always does what he says he will do… a promise! It’s up to us to follow where he’s leading. Christ is our guide to lead us through the forest of sin and into the clearing of salvation. Bless someone today. You are in my prayers.
