The question: Who is God? is one that has been asked for centuries. There are those however who claim to know God but do they really know him? Is having a knowledge of God enough? Can anyone by searching really find out Who is God? Job 11:7-9
The interviews below give us a glimpse of who God is and how he is our help in time of need.
In the Bible we find countless scriptures that show us that God longs to be close to us, he longs to have a relationship and friendship with us. Proverbs 8:17 “I love those who love me, And those who seek me diligently will find me.” Jeremiah 29:13 says “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.”
Learning to Surrender
“God has bound our hearts to Him by unnumbered tokens in heaven and in earth. Through the things of nature, and the deepest and tenderest earthly ties that human hearts can know, He has sought to reveal Himself to us.”
— Ellen White
Donnie mentions the word surrendering, (in the above video) a word that many today are afraid of.
They are afraid because, for them to surrender means, they might have to let go of what little comfort they have. Yet when we examine surrender, we discover that it takes strength to let go. To admit we need help is to acknowledge that we aren’t perfect, we aren’t complete on our own and we need someone stronger and greater (God) to perfect us. It’s through this process of perfection or surrendering to God we begin to see his character. God wants to have a relationship with us, not just for his desires but to make us perfect, to make us whole in him and through him. Matthew 11:28-29
