It’s amazing how we can refer to God so causally, as though we can just pray and get whatever we want. Yet many don’t realize, that God made us like him and because of this we can understand that he has feelings, motives, a heart. Despite being made in his image however our ways are not his ways and our thoughts not his thoughts. ( Isaiah 55:8 ) I met Eleanne recently below is part one of her testimony from the Who is God series.
God asks that we seek him, just as many search hard day and night for that one thing that will fulfill them. Search for God until you find him. Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. Isaiah 55:6-7
I’d like to end with this quote from the book Desire of Ages
In the beginning, God was revealed in all the works of creation. It was Christ that spread the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth. It was His hand that hung the worlds in space, and fashioned the flowers of the field. “His strength setteth fast the mountains.” “The sea is His, and He made it.” Ps. 65:6; 95:5. It was He that filled the earth with beauty, and the air with song. And upon all things in earth, and air, and sky, He wrote the message of the Father’s love.
